Pomegranate & mango flavoured yoghurt with fresh fruits

Yes! Home of swirly goodness, Pinkberry, is in Vancouver! As froghurt addicts, how can we not try it?

Original with raspberries in a waffle cone

The original flavour tasted quite tart and just mildly sweet. I actually prefer it this way because then I can taste the natural flavours of yoghurt a lot better. On a whole, I thought that Pinkberry’s yoghurt seems to be less creamy than Red Mango, however, Pinkberry’s yoghurt is less sugary.

As usual, the fruity flavours are sweeter in comparison to the original and the mango flavour is one of those cases; whereas, the pomegranate is more on the acidic side. The flavours of the fruits weren’t very distinct to be honest, but both of them tasted deliciously refreshing regardless.

Watermelon flavoured yoghurt with fresh watermelon

Likewise, watermelon flavoured yoghurt didn’t really scream watermelon and the fruity taste was rather faint. Nevertheless, we weren’t bothered because we were just glad that it didn’t taste artificial at all.

Prepare for long line-ups by the way!

In all respects, we loved their yoghurt but we also love Red Mango too! I guess we like them both for different reasons. Red Mango’s yoghurt is a lot creamy and velvety but most of their flavours are on the sweeter side. As I mentioned before, Pinkberry’s yoghurt has this refreshing zing but just not as smooth. At the end of the day, it really is down to personal preference… but what is there not to love about any frozen yoghurt?
